Well known people like Leeza Gibbons who created “Leeza’s Place” a community gathering place and resource center committed to providing free support services for family caregivers, is one of them. According to Gibbons, “Caregivers need a blanket of support around them to be successful at living their own lives while caring for others.” To provide a firsthand account of the struggles and triumphs of being a caregiver, we have printed an excerpt from Tony Rovere’s new book entitled “My Story.” A compelling look at the difficulties of becoming a caregiver. He journals the trials and tribulations of figuring out what to do and how to do it. His most important point….be prepared! |
